If in case you are using a Smart Prepaid Sim Card and have plans to use it abroad, this is a simple step to activate a roaming service.

Activation and deactivation of this service can simply be done via

1. SMS
* Just type ROAM ON / OFF and send it to 333.
2. SIM Connect
* Go to the Smart Menu
* Choose SIM Connect
* Choose Roam to activate and deactivate your international roaming service.
3. Web Connect
* Visit the Smart Buddy website at www.smart.com.ph/buddy/connect or Talk N Text website at www.smart.com.ph/talkntext/connect
* Login your user ID (cellphone number) and password or if you are not a member yet, select Register and sign up using your cellphone number.
* Select International Roaming activation/deactivation.
4. Minimum Balance required to activate is P100.00

The international text roaming shall allow subscribers to send and receive SMS messages and SMS VAS but disabling their voice features. Original subscriber profile shall only be restored upon feature deactivation.

My friend in Canada tried to register to smart web connect to enable him to activate international roaming in his smart sim card but he doesnt seem to receive verification code to complete registration. Will he receive verification code even if he is already outside the country? Is there any other method to activate international roaming while abroad?

- Just go to http://smart.com.ph/connect
- Simply login or register (if you havent done
so yet)
- Once logged in go to the Service Activation/Deactivation panel
- then select International Roaming, then select activate.

you can also do account balance or change your details using this online.

I activated roaming service when I went to Indonesia. Unfortunately my battery went out and I transferred my SIM card to another phone. When I opened it, I received about seven messages from different persons but there is error message – message cannot be displayed. Is it still possible to retrieve these messages? Please tell me how. Thanks mucho!

When you buy the super SIM 3 card, does it come preloaded with a specific amount/airtime? I’m asking because I would like to buy a super SIM 3 card on Ebay. It says that the card is already activated for roaming. I’m confused about that because there has to be a balance of P100 to activate roaming but the “activated cards” on eBay are not described as being “pre-loaded.”
