The Cranberry extract found in juice drinks makes platinum based cancer drugs - main treatment for ovarian cancer. This is several times more powerful against the cancer.

Researchers from the United States found that compounds isolated from cranberries can kill human ovary, prostate and paediatric cancer cells in laboratory studies. More over, cancer tend to become resistant to platinum-based drugs too. It gives the cranberry extract a major boost when in treatment.
