FireFTP is a free, open source, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox in the form of an add-on. It supports FTP, FTPS, and SFTP. FireFTP is charityware and runs on platforms that Firefox supports.

The FireFTP tool is a very easy-to- use and much more comfortable than many other FTP clients you’ll find around. This converts your Firefox browsers into a more full-featured FTP client. You will appreciate Fire FTP once you get used to it. It’s very useful.

Installing Fireftp in three simple steps :

1. Get the Firefox FireFTP extension
2. If you have default security settings on your browser, you should be asked for a “permit” to use this extension. After adding this site to the list of Trusted sites, click Install Now.
3. After successful installation of FireFTP, you are required to restart Firefox.

After installing it, you’ll need to head to Firefox’s Customize Toolbar menu and drag the FireFTP icon to a toolbar. From there, just click the icon to launch the client in a new tab. Now click Manage Accounts to add FTP sites. FireFTP employs a simple Explorer-style interface and offers features like directory comparison and syncing, SSL encryption, and file hashing.

If you are a Firefox user, FireFTP is so easy to use and i love it. First time users may find it intimidating, but you can always visit the FireFTP Help page.
