In the case of blog owners who blog about news and current issues, the best design is the magazine type. CNN News, US World News & World Report, etc. have the same type. Their designs are stunning and possess the looks of an online newspaper.
Good designs are sometimes a powerful tool for people to remember your website.
For me the best web designs are those who keep out of their way and do not draw much attention to the design itself. The design should not affect the readers attention and should draw an interactive procedure for people to move on.
Web designing is not an easy task. It takes a lot of patience and a lot of testing too. Of course if you want to learn and make web designing a profession, i suggest that you go to a learning school and take a crash course instead. And in the case of some online people who spent 10 hours or more, learning is just a click away.
